What Dockly People does
Every capability needs product sign-off before launch.

Roles, candidates and offers tracked through to acceptance, so the person who joins is already the person in the system rather than a form someone fills in afterwards.
Team records
One profile per person covering role, reporting line, location, salary and documents, with permissions deciding who sees which parts.
Payroll
Run pay from the same record that holds the salary, the joining date and the declarations, so a month-end run is a review rather than a data-gathering exercise. TDS is computed from that data and the cost posts to Books.

Before you ask us
Is payroll a separate product?
No. Payroll is part of Dockly People, because it runs off the same record that holds salary, joining dates and declarations — separating them would mean keeping two copies of the same facts in step. Talk to us about what your payroll looks like today and we will tell you exactly what is covered.
Who can see salary information?
Only the roles you grant it to. Permissions are set per role rather than per person, and access to sensitive fields is logged.
Can people update their own details?
Yes. Self-service covers contact details, bank details and document downloads, with anything that affects pay routed for approval.
What happens when someone leaves?
Their record is retained for as long as employment law and your own policy require, access is revoked, and the final settlement flows to Books like any other payroll event. Retention periods are set out in the Privacy Policy.
